This is a strategic national assignment that automatically qualified in the firm, to be termed a marvel flagship project.
In the year 2022, the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) through a competitive public tender process awarded CPC a mandate to carry out a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in all public procuring entities. The main aim of the project was to assess the training needs of procurement professionals as well as the bidding community. Furthermore, to identify the knowledge, skills and competences needed to close any identified performance gaps. The project also sought to ensure that the objectives of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDPA) Act are achieved.
Using a mixed methodology (triangulation) approach, research was carried out through questionnaires, focus group discussion, interviews and various physical stakeholder engagements. In the same manner, after 3 months of sheer determination, hard work of our staff and consultants coupled with the full cooperation and support of PRAZ and all stakeholders, we successfully completed this important assignment. It is our trust and confidence that the observations, findings and recommendations will be pivotal in the creation of a capacity development plan to strengthen the public procuring entities to perform better and more consistently over time.
